What are some effects of alcohol?

A
  • Increase levels of GABBA which inhibits neurotransmitters
  • Decrease consciousness and breathing rate
  • Inhibits ADH, less water is absorbed
  • Negative inotrope (weaken heart contraction) so heart rate increases
