rise in creatinine by either >25 in 48 hours or 50% in 7 days, or urine output < 0.5ml

dehydration, hypotension, HF
example of renal AKI?
glomerulonephritis, tubular necrosis
example of post-renal AKI?
kidney stones, BPH, masses, strictures
what urine finding would point towards infective cause?
leucocytes/ nitrites
what urine finding would point towards acute nephritis?
protein/ blood
management of AKI?
3 Rs - Remove meds, Rehydrate, Relieve obstruction
