Q

What Intermediate Catheter is the Flowgate3 BGC compatible with?

A

AXS Catalyst 7

17
Q

Steps for prepping a BGC:

A

Step 1: Attach an RHV to the BGC hub & the flow valve or stopcock to the balloon inflation hub

Step 2: fill a 20cc syringe with 50:50 contrast solution & attach to the flow valve or stopcock

Step 3: pull negative 2x on the syringe until the bubbles stop; release plunger

Step 4: remove the 20cc syringe and put on a 1cc syringe filled eith 50:50 contrast solution

Step 5: inflate the balloon with 0.6mL of 50:50 contrast solution. Remove the syringe from valve.

Step 6: wait for bubbles to dissipate, if desired or needed

Step 7: deflate the balloon prior to use using the 20cc syringe

18
Q

2 Purposes of an intermediate catheter during thrombectomy would be:

A

1) stable conduit (pathway) for other devices

2) provide lesional aspiration at the face of the clot

19
Q

What devices are use in TRAP?

A

Flowgate2 BGC
CAT 7
Trevo Retriever
AXS Universal Aspiration Set

20
Q

What are some Stryker Aspiration Catheters?

A

CAT 5/6/7

Vecta 71/74

21
Q

How long should you wait to allow the stent retriever to integrate with the clot?

A

5 minutes

22
Q

3 benefits of Vecta 74

A

1) Extra-large .074 lumen & low profile OD
2) 6F sheath compatible
3) more completely ingest clot (direct aspiration)

23
Q

3 key messages of Vecta 74

A

1) ingest more with large lumen
2) reliably navigate past the opthalmic artery
3) full length ptfe lining
