When is an AD issued? (2)

A
  • unsafe condition has been determined by CAA to exist as a result of a deficiency in the a/c, engine, propeller, part or appliance installed.
  • condition is likely to exist or develop on other a/c

What corrective actions must the relevant approval holders (holder of TC, supplemental TC, restricted TC, major repair design org. or UKTSO authorised) perform after the CAA issues an AD? (2)

A
  • propose corrective action or required inspections and submit details of these proposals to CAA for approval
  • following CAA approval, the proposals must be made available to all operators or owners of the product, part or appliance and on request anyone required to comply with AD.
