A

Brief demo
1. Clear
2. Communicate
3. Visual, heading, altitude, airspeed, flaps, pumps on, gear up
4. power 50%
5. hold altitude and slow to 130kts
6. at 130kts - left engine slowly idle - right engine increase 92% - pitch to lose 1kts/sec (appx 7.5 degrees up) - first sign of loss of control or stall buffet - recover: reduce pitch and power - 5 degrees down - establish 85kts - 92% power - climb at 85 - “maneuver complete”
Recover
1. Scissor power back to 55%

Q

Troubleshooting rough/engine out

A
  1. Fuel pump - off
  2. crossfeed
  3. alternate air
  4. voter switch swap - check crct brkrs
  5. CAS messages - if “L or R ECU A/B FAIL” and perceived thrust is reduced yet load is unchanged - idle engine 1 sec, increase up to 1975rpm, and keep. If out before 1975, reduce again, and increase up to point of loss power.

If all unsuccessful - secure engine
