Define ALS:
Approach light system

White.
Except on instrument runways, yellow replaces white for the last 2000 feet or half the runway length. (To form caution zone for landing)

White/Green.

White/Yellow.

2 white/Green
Why is there a rotating beacon at class D airspace during daylight?
Indicates ground visibility is less than 3 miles, ceiling is less than 1,000 feet

What are runway touchdown zone markings?
To identify touchdown zones for landing operations.
Coded to provide distance information in 500 foot increments
What is the purpose of a runway aiming point markings?
Serve as a visual aiming point for landing aircraft.
Two rectangular markings consist of a broad white stripe, approximately 1,000 feet from the landing threshold
How far down a runway does a touchdown zone extend?
1st 3,000 ft of runway beginning at threshold
What does the acronym RWSL stand for?
Runway status light system.
Fully automated system providing runway status to pilots and surface vehicles. Traffic on the ground
Does illumination of RWSL give the pilot permission to enter, cross, take off from Runway?
