The complete structure of an airplane including the fuel tanks and lines but without instruments and engine installed. Includes the fuselage, wings, tail assembly (or canard) and landing gear.

Fuselage

A

Central body of the airplane, designed to accommodate the crew passengers and cargo. It is the structural body to which the wings, tail assembly, landing gear and engine are attached.

The fuselage is usually classed according to it’s type of construction.
