Airbus ACJ 319 QRH Flashcards
What is the scope of the QRH in the GEN section?
The QRH contains some specific procedures which are not displayed on the ECAM.
As a general rule, the procedures displayed on the ECAM are not provided in the QRH. (Refer to FCOM PRO/ABN)
What is the PF’s TASK SHARING FOR ABN/EMER PROC?
PF is responsible for the:
Thrust levers Flight path and airspeed control Aircraft configuration ( request config change) Navigation Communications
What is the PM’s TASK SHARING FOR ABN/EMER PROC?
PM Pilot Monitoring is responsible for:
Monitoring and reading out loud the ECAM and checklists
Performing required actions or actions requested by the PF
Using engine master switches, cockpit cb’s, IR and guarded switches with PF’s confirmation (except on ground)
What is the ECAM CLEAR note?
Do not clear ECAM without cross confirmation of both pilots.
What is the ABN/EMER PROCEDURE INITIATION?
Procedures are initiated on the pilot flying command.
No action will be taken ( apart from audio warning cancel thru MASTER WARNING light) until:
The appropriate flight path is established, and
The aircraft is at least 400 ft above the runway, if a failure occurs during takeoff, approach, go around.
In some emergency cases, provided the appropriate flight path is established, the pilot flying may initiate actions before this height.
How are NORMAL CHECKLISTS conducted?
Normal checklists are initiated by the PF and read by the PM.
The PF shall respond after having checked the existing configuration.
What does WARNING mean?
An operating procedure or technique that may result in personal injury or loss of life if not followed.
What does CAUTION mean?
An operating procedure or technique that may result in damage to equipment if not followed.
What does NOTE mean?
An operating procedure or technique considered essential to emphasize. Information contained in NOTES may also be safety related.
CABIN OVERPRESSURE
Pack 1 or 2 …………….OFF
Blower and extract….OVRD
If Pressure is > 9 psi…Land ASAP
What is the ELEC EMER CONFIG SUMMARY at cruise?
Max speed is 320 knots ALTN LAW protection is lost Only CPT side PITOT and AOA are heated Center Tank fuel is unusable. Fuel only gravity feeds COM is VHF1, HF1, ATC1, RMP1 only NAV is ILS1, VOR1, GPS1 only
What is the ELEC EMER CONFIG SUMMARY at approach?
CAT 2 INOP
MIN RAT speed is 140 knots
Use FLAP3 for landing
When gear down…USE MAN PITCH TRIM ( direct law)
What is the ELEC EMER CONFIG SUMMARY at landing?
Only 2 spoilers per wing. Direct Law No Reverser No Nosewheel steering ALTERNATE braking without anti skid MAX BRK PR is 1000psi
GO AROUND…when L/G up locked, ALT LAW; PROT LOST
How do you balance the fuel tanks?
CAUTION. Do not apply this procedure if fuel leak is suspected.
FUEL X FEED……..ON
FUEL PUMPS…….OFF (on the lighter side and in the center tank)
FUEL PUMPS……ON (When fuel is balanced WNG and CTR on)
FUEL X FEED…….OFF
What are indications of a fuel leak?
The sum of the FOB and FU is significantly less than FOB at engine start or is decreasing.
Fuel spray is observed from engine/pylon or sharklet
Total fuel quantity is decreasing at an abnormal rate or fuel inbalance
Fuel is smelt in the cabin or EFOB turns to Amber on F.PLN
What do you do after you confirm you have a fuel leak?
LAND ASAP
THR LEVER (of effected engine)…….IDLE
ENG MASTER of effected engine…….OFF
FUEL X FEED………….USE AS REQUIRED
If leak continues after engine shutdown, a leak from the wing should be suspected.
ENGINE RESTART…….consider
CAUTION: Do not balance fuel with wing leak. App/land can be done with a full and empty wing.
What is the HYD B+Y SYS LO PR SUMMARY for cruise, approach, land and Go around?
CRUISE-Max speed is 320/.77M/ maneuver with care/ N LAW
APP-CAT 2 INOP/ Slats slow/Flaps slow/ LG gravity ext, lever Dn
Land-only 1 ELEV and 2 spoilers per wing/ no Nosewheel steering
Go-AROUND-no gear retraction and increased fuel consumption
What is the HYD G+B SYS LO PR SUMMARY for cruise, approach, land and Go around?
Cruise-SPD BRK don’t use/MAX speed 320/.77m/ALT LAW lost
Approach-CAT2 INOP/ slats jammed/flaps slow/ATR OFF/ USE FLAP3 for landing/LG gravity extend when speed 200K/LG down/ for flap extension use SPD SEL…VFE NEXT -5K/ slow to VAPP
Landing:only 1 ELEV and 2 spoilers per wing/ no ailerons/ DIRECT LAW
GO-AROUND: no gear retraction/increased fuel/ for circuit MAINTAIN SLATS/FLAPS Config/ for divert SELECT CLEAN Config
What is the HYD G+Y SYS LO PR SUMMARY for cruise, approach, land and Go around?
Cruise-Max speed 320/.77m/ No STAB/ALT LAW PROT LOST
Approach-CAT2 INOP/ SLATS SLOW FLAPS JAMMED/ use FLAP3/ GPWS FLAP MODE OFF/ SPD SEL for flaps extend VFE NEXT-5K/ when in CONFIG 3 DECELERATE to CALCULATED VAPP/ after VAPP GRAVITY GEAR EXTN/ LG Down/ MAN TRIM is unusable.
Landing-NO STAB and MAN TRIM unusable/ DIRECT LAW/ only 1 spoilers per wing/ BRK Y ACCU PR ONLY 7 applications/ no Nosewheel steering/ MAX BRK PR 1000psi
Go-Arround- NO GEAR RETRACTION/for circuit MAINTAIN SLATS FLAPS CONFIG/for divert SELECT CLEAN CONFIG at VAPP speed due to unstable pitch trim…good luck with that divert!
What can cause a DU (Display Unit) to fail or flash intermittently?
It may be due to intermittent electrical power supply interruptions such as a flashing PFD, ND, ECAM DUs or MCDU.
If it is on the CPTs side, turn OFF GEN 1. Keep it off if DUs stop flashing. Turn the GEN 1 back ON if DU keeps flashing.
Same process for the right side DUs using the GEN 2.
What do you do if you have LOSS OF BRAKING?
REV...............................MAX BRAKE PEDELS............RELEASE A/SKID & NW STRG.....OFF BRAKE PEDELS............PRESS MAX BRK PR.................1000 PSI
If still no braking
PARKING BRAKE………SHORT and SUCCESSIVE APPLICATIONS
