Departures board
When you arrive at the airport, you look at it to see your flight details.
Destination
The place you are travelling to.
Check-in desk
It is the place where your main luggage is weighed and where you get your ticket from.
Boarding card
It is the plane ticket with your seat number on it.
Passport control
The place where the officials check your passport.
Departure lounge
After you have gone through the security, you go to the departure lounge. Here you can buy things in the duty free.
Duty free
The area at the airport where you can buy things before your flight.
Take-off
The moment the plane leaves the ground
Gate (number)
You wait there before you get on the plane.

Hand luggage
The bag you are allowed to take with you on the plane
Overhead locker
The space above your seat on the plane. You can put your hand luggage there.
Delay
when you have to wait until a later time for some reason
Runway
The area where planes take off and land
Captain
The pilot

People who look after passengers. They are also known as flight attendatns.

Do your seat belts on the plane.

Placed vertically.
