Physical training instructor, developing the strength and fitness of airforce personnel with programming and coaching.
Why do you want to join ADF?
Challanging physically/ mentally, not regular 9-5 job, skills can learn, service, lifestyle, pride, career opportunity
Why the airforce?
Training development, career progression, future career options, operational environment best suits what i enjoy doing. This service is what will push me and allow me to learn the most and it is where i can make the most contributions to ADF. I also agree with and want to be part of and work with those who show the values of RESPECT, EXCELLENCE, AGILITY,DEDICATION, INTEGRITY, TEAMWORK.
What is the role of airforce?
To provide support across a spectrum of operations e.g air superiority, precison strikes, intelligence, survelliance to contribute to the security of australia, protecting its interests and people.

What is the basic fitness assesment and what are the fitness requirements for this role?
Basic - pushups 4 - sit ups 20 - Shuttle run 6.5 PTI role - physical entry for adf and 26wk course pushups 25 sit ups 35 shuttle run 9.5 400m bronze medallian under 12.30 Chin ups 5 6m rope climb 5km under 25mins
What will be your initial period of service?
3 years at ground academy RAAF base wagga plus 3 years in a different location where needed.

How long is your basic training and where is it?
10.6 weeks at the RAAF base in wagga (#1 Recruit training unit) 1RTU
What will basic/ initial cadet training be like?
- no phones
- busy days
- learning the basics of soldiering
typical day schedule - wake 5am lights out 10pm
-pt drills
-classroom lessons
-weapon training
-field activities
Where will you be posted?
Range of different places some of major ones are Townsville Darwin Glenbrook Richmond Fairbairn Amberly
Name some bases around australia?
RAAF Bases Wagga Richmond, syd Townsville Darwin
What will you learn during training?
Field craft, navigation, first aid, weapon handling, uniform dressing plus communications, maintain personal equiptment plus getting room to standard. Teamwork, initiative and dicipline. Many pt sessions reaching a set standard, barrack time recieving theory plus practical instruction.
What are some current operations that the ADF or service is involved in?
Accordion - to support sustainment of adf opperations, enable contingency planning and enhance regional relationships in the middle eastern region
-mainly RAAF and army
High road - train, advise and assist mission in afghanistan
- RAAF navy and army
OKRA- Contributes to international effort to combat the daesh (ISIL) terrorist threatr in iraq and syria
- mainly RAAF and army
