What was the procedure of Ainsworth’s Strange Situations?

A

7 episodes to highlight certain behaviours.
Data collected every 15 seconds by a group of observers through a two way mirror (covert).
Researcher notes one of the following behaviours: proximity seeking behaviours, exploration and secure base behaviours, stranger anxiety, separation anxiety and reunion behaviour. They then rate the intensity or the behaviour on a scale of 1-7.
