What are some weaknesses of the League of Nations?
- Some countries had less power than others which created tension.
- They did not have an army so there was no real way to force people to participate in their decisions.
- The US, a main helper in the treaty, was not apart of it.
Why did the USA not participate in the League of Nations?
- Some US citizens with German descent did not like the way they treated Germany.
- Congress did not approve the request.
- The US feared that American soldiers would be sent for every little thing.

What is the Treaty of Versailles?
The treaty after WWI between the countries that participated in the war.
Why did Germany hate the Treaty of Versailles?
It was very unfair to Germany, making them take all the blame, pay all the money, took away their military, and their territory. Basically, its policies were really harsh.
What was Britain’s reaction to the treaty?
- Believed France made the treaty too harsh
