What is AHA/ACC stage A?
At high risk for developing heart failure.
No identified structural or functional abnormality, no signs or symptoms of HF
What is AHA/ACC stage B?
Structural heart disease that is strongly associated with the development of HF but no signs and symptoms of HF
What is AHA/ACC stage C?
Symptomatic HF, associated with underlying structural heart disease
What is AHA/ACC stage D?
Advanced structural disease with marked symptomology at rest despite maximal medical therapy
What is NYHA Stage 1?
No limitation in physical activity
Ordinary physical activity does not cause fatigue, palpitations, or dyspnea
What is NYHA Stage 2?
Slight limitation in physical activity
Comfortable at rest but ordinary activity results in fatigue, palpitations, or dyspnea
What is NYHA Stage 3?
Marked limitation of physical activity
Comfortable at rest but less than ordinary activity results in fatigue, palpitations, or dyspnea
What is NYHA Stage 4?
Symptoms at rest. Unable to do any physical activity without symptoms
