Call off/Stand still, hands up, Platz

A

Dog fighting on the sleeve or in muzzle: Stand still is a two-fold command, the agitator should stand still and the dog should come off the bite or fight. Hands up is for the agitator, Platz is downing the dog.

A

A

A

Stick hit

A

Over head hitting the dog to condition him in seeing a stick and continue to fight. Corrections are done by experienced agitator by hitting under the sleeve, striking the dog on the upper inside paw area. Be careful not to catch the dog in the eyes, it is meant for discomfort not to hurt the dog.

A

The agitator runs by the dog while it is on a bite. Sometimes touching the dog as he runs by leaving the dog in the fight. This eliminates the dogs sensitivity

Choke off

A

This is an exercise to develop the dogs bite on the sleeve. As the handler chokes the dog, his bite will loosen, he feels the sleeve slipping out of his mouth and has the desire to hold on to the sleeve causing him to bite harder

A

Prior to the dog making contact with the agitator the handler calls off the dog. The dog should go down or return to handler
