Implied Authority/ Apparent Authority - Salesman took cheques made payable to himself. The court held these payments were valid, as the third party had no reason to suspect that they were invalid.

Ratification - Offer of purchase was made by lambert it was then withdrawn after it was ratified by the principal. As the agent accepted the offer it was held performance should be carried out as it was made prior to withdrawal.
