Most American colonists hadn’t even been to Europe and had no real loyalty to the British way of life; England was attempting to get out of debt by taxing the colonies without representation in Parliament; The British sent occupying forces to deal with colonist resistance, which escalated things.

France was in debt from the Seven Years War, extreme weather destroyed crops and caused a famine, the royal family was spending tons of money despite being in debt.

What was the Industrial Revolution?

A

A period of time between the late 1700s and early 1840s when new technology like the steam engine and other inventions allowed for new manufacturing (stuff-making) processes to develop. Our modern lives are only possible because the Industrial Revolution took place.
