Ruminant: 4 parts to their stomach.

The hind part of the stomach.
What is the difference between feed and food?
Feed is what humans give to hooved domesticated animals that they use for their benefit. Food is what humans eat themselves or give to pets.
What is nutrition?
The process of providing or obtaining the food necessary for health and growth.
What is the difference between macro and micro minerals?
Macro minerals are necessary in larger amounts while micro minerals are necessary in smaller amounts.
What is a nutrient?
A substance that provides nourishment essential for growth and the maintenance of life

The kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats.
What is a ration?
A fixed amount of a commodity officially allowed to a person or animal.
What is feedstuffs?
A component of a ration or a diet that serves one or more functions.

Fat soluble and water soluble
What is the reticular groove and why is it important?
A muscular structure extending from the cardia to the reticulo-omasal orifice. serves mainly as a bypass between the esophagus and the abomasum.
What is mastication?
To grind, crush, and chew (food) with or as if with the teeth in preparation for swallowing.
What is colic and how does it occur?
Broad veterinary term used to describe any form of abdominal pain.
