What is key framing?
Key framing allows changes over time. They contain information for a point in action in the time line.
What is parenting?
Parenting is used to link one or more layers to a single parent layer which will effect the children layer.
What is easing?
Easing the process of making an animation not so sudden.
What Is ease out?
Ease out means the animation starts fast and slows down.
What is ease in?
Ease in Starts slow and speeds up
What is masking?
Masking is a simple way to reveal portions of the layer or layers below is selectively.
What is motion tracking?
The process of tracking the movement of an object within a piece of footage
What is an expression?
An expression is small piece of JavaScript code that you can plug into animated properties
What is Render?
It is the process of getting your work saved into your computer in the format of a sequence of frames.
What is a work area?
The Work Area is the part of the Composition that is previewed when you do a Ram Preview. It is also the default area that will be rendered when exporting
What is a null object?
A null object is an invisible layer that has all the properties of a visible layer, so that it can be a parent to any layer in the composition
What is pre compose?
Is when 1 or more layers that are already in a composition are turned into a composition of there own.
What does the Pan Behind/Anchor Point tool allow you to do?
allows you to move the anchor point of a layer in the composition window
How do you export a still image?
from After Effects, choose “Composition > Save Frame As > ‘Location’
What must you make sure when importing a layered photoshop document?
make sure to change the Format (import as)to “Composition
