A gradual transition from fertile to less productive land.

The process of redirecting water to crops through channels and ditches.

Farmers who grow food for their families to eat, not to sell.

A shortage of something.
Nomad
A person who moves from place to place.
Fertile
Able to produce a great deal of fruit, crops, or offspring.

The average condition of the atmosphere of an area over a long period of time, including temperature, precipitation, and seasonal changes.
Weather
The condition of the atmosphere at a particular time, including temperature, precipitation, and humidity for a particular day or week.
