Rescue Profile

A
  1. Low rescue profile- structure/occupancy believed to be empty.
  2. Medium rescue profile- structure/occupancy believed to be occupied but suspected to be empty at the moment.
  3. High rescue- S/O is occupied and there is a suspicion that here are trapped occupants.
  4. Urgent- there is KNOWN life hazard, aggressive search and rescue techniques will be employed.

VES (Vent Entry Search)

A
  1. Rescue profile is high or urgent
  2. High target area has been identified
  3. Advise IC of actions
  4. Access action area, raise/climb ladder if necessary
  5. Vent entire window
  6. Enter environment via vented window
  7. Close door to room
  8. Perform a rapid primary search of the room
  9. initiate rescue sequence if victim is discovered or
  10. if no victim is discovered, immediately exit and advice IC

A

  1. reads temps from 0-1100
  2. anything 450 and higher is red
  3. water proof up to one meter
  4. withstands up to 700 degrees
  5. low battery at 20%
  6. 3hr battery life
