Why is aesthetics an important factor to consider?
It concerns the way things look, as consumers are going to buy products based on its appearance.
What is the main two aesthetic properties and what does it create?
Shape and colour as it creates contrast or harmony.
Why is colour useful?
As it can be used for specific target markets.
What is harmony?
Harmony is where parts of a design work well together or the design fits in with a specific environment.
How do you achieve harmony?
Simple shapes and colours that work well together.
What is balance?
Balance is where most products are designed to be symmetrical but odd occasions some can be design asymmetrically.
What is pattern?
This is repeating a design feature to create a pattern so the design is able to create a unified and organised look.
What is texture?
This is different textures used to make design look more stylish and interesting.
What is contrast?
Contrast is the opposite to harmony where designs stand out and are bold, this is to make the design more eye-catching.
What does proportion do?
Proportion is used to make the design look more elegant, classy, stable or sleek.
what is form?
Form is the regards of a shape from a design.. Will it be geometric or organic shapes. (2D shapes which is developed into 3D features.)
Why is line important?
Using line in a design can make it informal or formal it can also cause contrast and make your design look more interesting.
