Is the paid way of marketing using persuasive information from an identified sponser spread through channels of mass communication to promote goods, services or ideas.
When is advertising necessary?
- when competition is growing
- when information needs to be provided to consumers
- when advetiser wants the consumer to recognize the product
Brand loyalty
The repetition of buying a particular product because of value attached to its brand.
How is brand loyalty created?
By giving the product a distinctive identity though the use of appealing design and use of trademark.
Purposes of advertising
- to introduce a new product
- to gain attention of consumers
- to increase sales
- to improve the public image of the business
- to develope brand loyalty
- to remind consumers of existing products or services
Main aim of advertising
Aims to raise the awareness of a product or services in hope that the targeted audience will purchase it.
