Advance PID Flashcards
What is SSE?
Steady state error
What are the conditions that make a feedfoward controller realizable?
Theta p< theta d
What is a static feedfoward controller?
A static feedforward controller make a correctionthat is directly proportional to the disturbancechange.
A static feedforward controller is used when theprocess responds in a similar fashion to a changein the disturbance and the manipulated variable.
What is the benefits of feedforward controller
Can improve the reliability of the feedback controller by reducing the deviation from setpoint.
Since it is a linear controller, its performance will deteriorate with nonlinearity
What are the requirements for a Cascade loop to succeed?
The output of the primary controller becomes theset point of the secondary controller (Cascade)
Secondary (inner) loop should reduce the effect ofone or more disturbances.
Secondary loop must be at least 3 times faster thanprimary loop.
The secondary loop should be tuned tightly to theset point tracking
