Plantar Flexion
- Movement toward the midline of the body
Adduction
- Decreasing the angle formed by the bones of the joint
Flexion
- Anterior surface of the arm or leg rotates medially toward midline
Internal Rotation
- Movement in 2 or 3 planes
Circumduction
- Movement away from the midline of the body
Abduction
- Turning the forearm toward the body
Pronation
- Increasing the angle formed by the bones of the joint
Extension
- Bringing the toes toward the body
Dorsi Flexion
- Anterior surface of the arm or leg rotates laterally away from the midline
External Rotation
- Extreme or excessive straightening of a part
Hyperextension
- Turning the forearm outward from the pronated position
