Spine and lower extremities
spine trapezius and paravertebral muscle ROM of the back inspection of legs Archilles tendon Upper arm drift - romberg -upper arm extremities drift.
Upper & Lower Extremities
finge nails
Hands & arms for temperature, turgor, and texture
Radial pulses
Epitrochlear nodes
Palpation of the joints
ROM
Muscle stregnth of upper and lower extremities.
Rapid alternating movement (coordination of fingers)
point to point movement (two arm out then alternatively touch the nose)
sharp and dull sensation
stereognosis (put object in one hand and tell me what it is)
Two point discrimination
extinction (pull to where I touch you)
DTR
position sensation
vibratory sensation
Face & Head
Inspection of face, head, hair, and scalp skull frontal & maxillary sinuses temporal pulses temporal-mandibular joint

Masseter muscle strengh
Corneal blink reflex
light touch sensation

symmetry of facial movements (funny faces, smile, puckle up )
Observe brow for symmetry on upward gaze
Test cn7 by attempting to open eyes against resistance show teeth smile purse lips and puff out cheeks
Neck
cervical lymph nodes
supraclavicular, & infraclavicular nodes
ROM
CN 11
-strength testing (turn head on side and push against the provider hand)
-palpation of the trachea
Thyroid gland
Nose
CN1
close eyes, plugged one nostril and sniff sense
inspect the nose : septum straight and midline, nasal mucosa, and inferior /middle turbunate
Mouth & Pharyn
lips, buccal mucosa, teeth, & gums
parotid ducts
tongue, salivary glands, salivary duct openings, hard and soft palate
Anterior pillars, posterior pillars, and tonsils
CN 9 & 10
rise of soft palate & uvula
Gag reflex

Tongue for fasciculation
asymmetry or deviation
Posterior Thorax
chest expansion and symmetry
Costovertebral angle tenderness
Thoracic expansion (take a deep breath while both hand provider circling the throcic )
Tactile fremitus
Percussion of lung fields (symmetry check)
Auscultation of lung field
Anterior Thorax and lungs
Inspection of anterior chest and precordium Respiratory pattern costocondral junctions tactile fremitus anterior lungs.
Heart
Palpation across -(aortic, pulmonic, erb, tricuspid, & mitral area-apical(left)) percordium
point of maximal impulse auscultation of precordium -aortic -pulmonic -erb -tricuspid auscultation of base of the heart.
