Kerning
In graphic design, this term refers to the spacing between letters or characters in a piece of text to be printed.

Allows you to create and edit curved or straight lines easily (looks like pen tool but with a line coming out of it)

Panels
Panels are the toolbars that help manage your workspace.
Essential panels: Layers panel (organizes different elements in a design), Swatches panel (Stores and applies colors), Appearance panel (Controls effects and styling), & properties panel (displays object setting)
Artboards
Is like a digital canvas where you create designs, create and adjust artboards on the canvas
Shortcut: Shift + O
Image files
Adobe software supports various image file formats, the main ones are
JPEG: good for web images
PNG: supports transparency, good for web images
GIF: Supports animations and transparency
TIFF: often used for printing
PSD: Photoshop file, keeps layers and editing options
Vector formats (scalable, shape-based), AI: adobe illustrator file is a fully editable vector format
Eyedropper tool
Is used to copy colors, strokes, gradients, and text attributes from one object to another
Gradients (different types)
Linear gradient: Colors bend in a straight line
Radial gradient: Colors bend outward from a center point
Freeform gradient: Allows custom bending with multiple color points
Pencil tool
Draws and edits freehand lines
Reflect tool
Flips objects over a fixed axis
Hand tool
Moves the Illustrator artboard within the illustration window
Arc tool
Creates curved lines
Brush tool
Draws freehand and calligraphic lines
