new infiltrate on chest radiograph in combination with at least 1 clinical sign or symptom (chest pain, cough, wheeing, tachypnea, fever)
how does acute chest syndrome cause pain in bone marrow
reduce the blood flow
painful ischemia and necrosis
What is Tx for Acute chest syndrome
supportive care
incentive spirometry
broad-spectrum antibiotics
bronchodilators
exchange transfusion
