descriptive adjectives
describes a noun
examples: colors, numbers, and textures etc.
demonstrative adjective
used to indicate orpoint out a particular noun or pronoun
examples: this,that,these,those
interrogative adjectives
an adjective used to ask questions about nouns and pronouns
examples: where,what,
which,whose
comparative adjectives
an adjective that is used to compare two nouns or pronouns to each other.
examples: stronger, faster, wiser, more fun
superlative adjectives
an adjective used to show superiority between three or more nouns or pronouns to each other.
example: strongest, wisest, most fun.
coordinate adjectives
adjectives that can be rearranged and still make sense.
examples: the friendly brown dog….the brown friendly dog.
non-cordinate
adjectives
adjectives that cannot be switched or rearranged.
noun
person place or thing
common noun
any noun that is not capitalized
proper noun
names a person place or thing and is capitalized
abstract noun
an noun that is not able to be touched tasted or smelled like a feeling
concrete noun
a noun that can be experienced by the 5 senses
compound noun
a word like backpack or driveway
collective noun
names groups of things and people
