What clinical syndromes does the adenovirus cause?
A
Produces 5-10% of paediatric respiratory infections
- febrile pharyngitis (sore throat)
- lower respiratory infections
- conjunctivitis (pink eye),itchy and dry, highly contagious. It is a non enveloped virus so can last longer on surfaces
- diarrhea
