A

Acute or Chronic
Acute:
-non-contact
-COD, kicking, reaching, jumping

  • well localised
    • crossover sign - sign of progression
  • ache - progressing to pain
  • loss of acceleration/deceleration/sharp turn
  • reduced sprint and COD speed
  • pain on dead ball kicking
  • warm up helpful initially
  • stiff and sore after activity
  • this gets progressively closer to the activity
  • eventually impacts on activity

Chronic progressive: able to train and
play initially, eventually impacts on function
