A
Acute or Chronic
Acute:
-non-contact
-COD, kicking, reaching, jumping
- well localised
- crossover sign - sign of progression
- ache - progressing to pain
- loss of acceleration/deceleration/sharp turn
- reduced sprint and COD speed
- pain on dead ball kicking
- warm up helpful initially
- stiff and sore after activity
- this gets progressively closer to the activity
- eventually impacts on activity
Chronic progressive: able to train and
play initially, eventually impacts on function

Adductor longus Pectineus Gracilis -Maximal tenderness at adductor tendon insertion (on the pubic bone inferior to pubic tubercle) -Trigger points along adductor longus

Squeeze test w/ 0 degrees hip flexion
Squeeze test w/ 45 degrees hip and 90 degrees knee flexion
Outer-range adduction
-Pain w/resisted adduction (squeeze test)
-Cross-over sign (imaging)
