Alcohol withdrawal delirium
Symptoms - hallucinations, confusion, delusions, seizures
Treatment - ABC check, benzodiazepines (Diazepam rapid onset), thiamine
What is Werniker’s Encephalopathy?
Chronic alcohol deficiency, resulting in thiamine deficiency
Symptoms - visual problems, loss of muscle coordination, memory loss
Treatment - thiamine
