why do people with acute liver failure get encephalopathy?
Build up of toxic compounds not metabolised by the liver
what zone is most likely injured after paracetomal poisoning?
Zone three
what is the distribution of necrosis in acute hepatitis?
Spotty or patchy hepatocyte necrosis
What is the distribution of necrosis in acute hepatic failure?
fulminant/ confluent necrosis which typically affects acinar zone 3
what is the typicaly inflammation in acute hepatitis?
Florid lobular and portal lymphocyte rich inflammation, sometimes with eosinophils and plasma cells
