- Ruptured ectopic preganancy
- Bleeding peptic ulcer
- Traumatic injury

A
- Localised pain
- Tachycardia
- Pyrexia
- BUT sometimes not look unwell

Generalised peritonitis present
A
- Tachycardia +/- hypotension
- Pyrexia
- Rigid abdomen
- Look unwell

Initial bedside and blood tests for acute abdomen
A
- Urine dipstick - infection/haematuria? - MC&S
- Pregnancy test
- ABG - assess tissue hypoperfusion and rapid Hb
- Routine bloods - FBC, U&E, LFT, CRP, amylase/lipase and G&S - crossmatch if need
- ECG - myocardial referred pain? pre-op workup
