Year to date is at around 550, but we’re forecast to hit 1.5 million.

Our GM of our year so far is 34% but its forecast by the end of the year to go down to 27% as we increase spend on NPD. This leaves us with Gross margin of 550k to date, but by the end of the year we forecast 1.5 million. The net margin we make on this is around 12%, but reduces to -7% by the end of the year as we invest in growth (65k YTD and -100k by the end of the year).

It varies year on year - Y1 it was at -65% (-36k), Y2 it was at -5% (net loss of 36k) and year to date we’ve had a net profit of 12%, with 65k already made. We do however forecast this to end up being a -7% loss at the end of the year as we invest capital to support a new listing

How do you plan to make money?
By the end of Y4 (next year) we’ll have a net profit of 400k and by year 5 we’ll have net profit of 700k, Y6 we see Net Margin going up to 17% with 1.2 million profit.
How have you funded the business to date?
Small round of investment from people who believed in me - many mentors. I put 50 k of my own money, savings and some money that was left by a relative.
What percentage of your market are buying premium beans?
Our category is still heavily dominated by own label, but looking at a brand like Mutti - who have grown 5.6% in the last year at a 60% per kilo premium to the category average shows the potential of premium commodified brands.
What evidence can you give me that this is going to get to a big enough scale?
The size of our market in the UK is 565% - by year 6, we want to own just 1.2% of that market (7million£)
