the resurrection - their philosophies taught strictly against afterlife/resurrection

Corinth was like Vegas - sinful, large port with lots of sailors, gambling, etc.

Corinth’s sinful population was ready and willing to turn to God, and the Church was growing fast; while Athen’s peoples were so far into their philosophies that they struggled to believe.

a Jew who knew about Jesus, but only what John had taught him. He knew a lot about the scriptures and spoke about Jesus. Priscilla and Aquila filled him in on the rest in Antioch.

roman proconsul who kicked frustrated Jews out of a court after they were complaining about Paul’s teachings because it Rome didn’t care about problems with Jewish teachings
why did Paul have to re-baptize some people in Ephesus?
they had only learnt from John and didn’t know about the Holy Spirit. When they were baptized, it was like a mini pentecost as they spoke in tongues, prophesied, etc.

How did the evil spirit respond to the Jewish exorcists? What did the Church in Ephesus do after?
The spirit said that he knew Jesus and Paul, but who were they? and then attacked them. the Church then publicly burned their magic books because they were freaked out.
why were the silversmiths, incl. Demetrius, angry with Paul?
they made a living on Artemis keepsakes, so if everyone was converted to Christianity, no one will buy his stuff. He also doesn’t want people to give up on the goddess he loves so much.
how did the town official in Ephesus react at the mob that the silversmiths got together?
says that Artemis is undeniable and not to get so riled up. he also says that they might get arrested for rioting if they weren’t careful.
what happened to Eutychus?
Paul’s homily was so long that he fell asleep and fell out of the three story window he was sitting in. Paul went down and resurrected him, then just went back to Mass.
what does Paul predict will happen to him in Jerusalem?
the Holy Spirit has told him that hardships and imprisonment wait for him in Jerusalem. Paul says that he doesn’t care about his life as long as he finishes God’s mission for him.
what does Paul predict will happen to the church once he’s gone?
Paul says that people will come from outside and inside the Church trying to spread heresies and threaten the Church.

they get down on their knees and pray with him, and then cry as they say goodbye to him and he boards his boat.
