Courts and Legal Services Act 1990
Allowed solicitors to apply to be solicitor advocates provided they have experience in lower courts and pass the exam - rights in all courts.
Constitutional Reform Act 2005
Reforms the HoL into the UKSC. S3 states that the state must not seek to influence judges (independence from the executive).
