Activity 7-Stars Flashcards
What determines which lifecycle a star will take
The mass of a star
How does a star form? What marks the beginning or birth of a star
The stars form that a cool dense molecular gas. A star is birthed when it starts fusing and it’s hydrogen core
What influences the lifespan of the star
The mass influences the lifespan of a star the bigger the mass the smaller lifespan. The smaller the mass the longer the lifespan.
What is the relationship between star mass, temperature, lifespan and brightness?
Bigger mass equals greater temperature and brighter star but has less of a lifespan. Smaller mass equals colder temps but not as bright and has a bigger lifespan
