What is 2,4-D and what is it used on and what does it control?
Group 4 - used on Wheat, barley, spring rye, - 4 leaf to early flag leaf for broad leaf weed control
2,4-D is an herbicide that kills plants by changing the way certain cells grow. The toxicity of 2,4-D depends on its form.
2,4-D kills broadleaf weeds but not most grasses. 2,4-D kills plants by causing the cells in the tissues that carry water and nutrients to divide and grow without stopping. Herbicides that act this way are called auxin-type herbicides.

- 700 Ester: 660 g ae/L present as 2-ethylhexyl ester and formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate.

What is Clopyralid and what is it used on and what does it control?
( Trade Names: Transline®,Stinger®, Reclaim®, Curtail®, and Lontrel®) Clopyralid (3,6-dichloro-2-pyridinecarboxylic acid) is a selective herbicide used for control of broadleaf weeds, especially thistles and clovers. Target weeds: annual and perennial broadleaf weeds, esp. knapweeds, thistles, and other members of the sunflower, legume, and knotweed families. Clopyralid is an auxin-mimic type herbicide. It is more selective (kills a more limited range of plants) than some other auxin-mimic herbicides like picloram, triclopyr, or 2,4-D. Like other auxin-mimics, it has little effect on grasses and other monocots, but also does little harm to members of the mustard family (Brassicaceae) and several other groups of broad-leaved plants.

buckwheat, Canada thistle and perennial sow thistle, and suppression of common chickweed and hemp-nettle. The components of Prestige XC Herbicide move within the plant to control exposed and underground plant tissues. It mimics naturally occurring plant hormones which control weeds by disrupting normal plant growth patterns. Symptoms of effect include epinasty (twisting of the stems) and swollen nodes.
