Passive Voice
Definition of a Noun
a person, place or thing.

Definition of an Adjective
words that are used to describe or modify nouns or pronouns
Definition of an Adverb
a word that describes a verb, an adjective, another adverb, or even a whole sentence
Definition of an Active Voice
active voice is a type of a clause or sentence in which a subject performs an action and expresses it through its representative verb. When a subject performs an action directly, it is in an active voice. It then uses a transitive verb to show the action.
Definition of a Passive Voice
a type of a clause or sentence in which an action, or an object of a sentence, is emphasized rather than its subject.

When is a passive voice used?
- When the person who does the action is unknown, unimportant, or obvious from the context.
- To make more polite or formal statements.
- When the action is more important than the agent, as in processes, instructions, events, reports, headlines, news items, and advertisements.
