A

Gui Zhi Tang

A

Fever & chills unrelieved by sweating, headache, aversion to wind, stiff neck, nasal congestion, dry heaves, no thirst. (may be used in pt. without external invasion)

Tx: Release wind-cold or wind from the muscle layer. Regulates and harmonizes the nutritive and protective Qi.

A

Fever and Chills ( chills predominate), no sweat, cough, wheeze, sputum that is copious, white and stringy and difficult to expectorate, stifling sensation in the chest, generalized sensation of heaviness in the body, no thirst, difficulty breathing laying down, floating edema

Tx: Release exterior, transform thin mucus, warm the lungs, direct rebellious Qi downward

A

Fever and chills (chills predominate), no sweat, headache, stiff neck, generalized aches and pains, slight thirst, bitter taste in mouth

Tx: Induces sweating and dispels dampness while draining heat

A

High fever and severe chills with shivering, absence of sweating, pain and stiffness of the head and neck, soreness and pain of the extremities, focal distention and fullness of the chest, nasal congestion with sonorous breathing, a productive cough
