Q
What are the 3 types of science questions?
A
- Data analysis: look for patterns in the data
- Experiment questions: understand the purpose of the experiments.
- Principle questions: understand ways of supporting or attacking a principle.

Q
Four Tips for Reading Tables and Graphs
- Determine what is being represented.
- Determine what the axes (or columns and rows) represent.
- Take note of units of measurement.
- Look for trends in the data
A
All answers are found in summary and tables. No need to have prior knowledge of the subject.

Q
What are the 3 things to note when looking for trends and patterns in graphs/tables?
A
What are the 3 things to note when looking for trends and patterns in graphs/tables?
- Extremes (high and low)
- Critical points (points when something dramatic occurs - when numbers bunch together or something suddenly changes)
- Variation - related to correlation - is it direct variation (both increasing together) or is it inverse variation (opposite directions)?
