Q

What are the 3 things to note when looking for trends and patterns in graphs/tables?

A

What are the 3 things to note when looking for trends and patterns in graphs/tables?

  1. Extremes (high and low)
  2. Critical points (points when something dramatic occurs - when numbers bunch together or something suddenly changes)
  3. Variation - related to correlation - is it direct variation (both increasing together) or is it inverse variation (opposite directions)?
