The witches. This means everything is not what it seems to be. The ugliness can be beautiful and the the beautiful can be ugly

The witches. The witches know Macbeth will be named Thane of Cawdor and the witches are saying that Macbeth will be king one day.

The second and third witch says this. Banquo is lesser than Macbeth because Macbeth moved in rank. Macbeth is the Thane of Cawdor and Thane of Glamis. Banquo is greater than Macbeth because his family line will be king.
Banquo descendants will be king one day.

Macbeth says this. Macbeth is imagining what he is about to do to Duncan. Which is to kill him.

Lady Macbeth says this. She means if Duncan had not resembled her father while he was sleep, she would have killed him herself.

Macbeth says this. Macbeth knows what he did was wrong and he will never be forgiven of his crime. Macbeth was listening in fear.

Macbeth says this. Macbeth’s guilt is taking over his mind due to the fact he murdered Duncan. He knows he will never have peace and the guilt is taking over his mind.

Macbeth says this. Macbeth is saying that there is not enough water in the ocean to wash and cleanse his soul of the crime he committed.

Lady Macbeth says this. She means just wash your hands so you don’t have to see crime. It’s easy.

It is a humorous scene that comes after a scene of great tension. The purpose is to relieve the tension for the audience. Act 2 Scene 3 is an example of comic relief. The Porter’s Scene
Where does Malcolm and Donalbain go after Duncan’s death and why they don’t go to the same place?
Malcolm goes to England and Donalbain goes to Ireland. They don’t go to the same place because it is best. After they found out their father has been murdered, they are fearful for their life.

Duncan is his king and his royal subject, Duncan is Macbeth’s guest, and Duncan is a good king
What is the plan to kill Duncan (specifically)?
Lady Macbeth is going to give Duncan’s chamberlains wine with a sleeping potion in it. While they are all sleep, Macbeth is to go into the bedchamber and stab Duncan to death. He will use the chamberlains dagger to do so. They will smear Duncan’s blood on the two chamberlains and leave the daggers in the room.
