- potion=poison, Friar doesn’t want to get caught marrying her twice

- be so scared of the bones of her ancestors, sees Tybalt’s body, smashes her brains in
- finally, she think she sees Tybalt’s ghost
What does she asks Tybalt’s ghost to do?
To stop looking for Romeo
What does Juliet do and say just as she’s about to drink the potion?
She toasts to Romeo
“Romeo, I come! this do I drink to thee”
What is the problem with this situation?
Capulet has moved Juliet’s and Paris’ wedding a day earlier, on Wednesday.
Friar Laurence has planned for Romeo to meet Juliet on Thursday
Why is it a big deal that Capulet has moved the wedding a day earlier?
Because it’s very difficult for Friar Lawrence to get the message out to Romeo in Mantua that Juliet is getting married a day earlier
Why does Juliet take the potion, regardless of her worries?
Because she ultimately wants to be with Romeo
