macbeth- prophecising, evil, supernatural

lady macduff to son- mother and child bond, affection and love in contrast to lady macbeth

macduff son- imagery of natural, represents good family in contrast to macbeths
“i have done no harm”
lady macduff- believes in truth and justice, macbeth murders innocents
1-“bleeds” 2-“bleeds country”
1- malcolm, 2- macduff– imagery reflected between them, patriotism, represent goodness
1- “all my pretty ones”
2- “let grief convert to anger”
1- macduff, 2-malcolm– grief and anger are very closely linked/mourning->human nature- goodness unlike macbeths, act like a man/masculine, contrast to how macbeth acts
“Finger of birth-strangled babe,/Ditch-delivered by a drab.”
witches- horrific, killing of babies- lady macbeth. macbeths and witches go hand in hand, “b” and “d” creates chant-like tone
“Though you untie the winds and let them fight/Against the churches.”
macbeth- church symbolise morality and goodness, church faces powerful evil and is passive/vunerable, audience shocked to see christianity treated this way
