What Portia means to say is that one half of her is Bassanio’s, and the other half is also Bassanio’s. Her own, which she would say is hers is also Bassanio’s and so all of her belongs to Bassanio’s but these bad times put bars between the owners and their rights, so she does not belong to Bassanio even though she does
