How does iago exploit Cassio’s weakness?
He gets Cassio drunk.
And gets Roderigo to provoke him.
Resulting in Cassio getting fired.
How is othellos magnificence shown?
He restores order.
He is angry / shows dominance.
This is ironic as he loses his ability to restore order and alert dominance later on.
Why is the amount of exits and entrances significant?
Because iago is almost a constant presence on stage.
Why are iagos soliloquies important here ?
Reveals plot to audience.
Shows he is in control.

Why is the fight significant?
As it breaks up the only time othello and desde have together.
Also reflects how their relationship will become permanently interrupted.
Highlights iagos invasion on the couple.
Why quote suggests othello and desdeomon are off to consummate marriage?
“The fruits are to ensue: that profit’s yet to come ‘tween me and you”
Why is it significant that des and othello don’t make love yet / interrupted?
Adds to the tragedy of the play because weren’t able to celebrate love.
This is the peak of their love and they don’t know it.

Othello promises to in 1,3 that he will keep love and war separate. However he doesn’t do this, what does this mean?
