Act 2 Flashcards
O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name;
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I’ll no longer be a Capulet.
She’s saying that she will give up her name if it means she can be with him
It is the east and Juliet is the sun
He is comparing her to the sun
What’s in a name?that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet
He’s saying what’s the difference if we change our names we are still the same people
My life were better ended by their hate than death proroguéd,wanting of thy love
My love would die of hate if I didn’t have your love
I have no joy of this contract tonight.it is too rash,to unadvised,too sudden.
I have no happiness cause everything is rushed
Parting is such a sweet sorrow that I sall say good night till it be morrow
I hate saying goodbye but goodnight till tomorrow
