Q

“ my parts, my title and my perfect soul”

A

Othello’s hubris may be evident here, although i would argue it isn’t excessive as he has truly earned the position he claims to be. Although his soul may not be “Perfect” due to the acts of violence he is forced to commit on the battle field.

Q

“By Janus i think no”

A

Iago has strayed away from a theocratic Christian God to call upon Janus the greek god of doors exits and passageways, usually depicted as having two faces.

This is interesting as it Could symbolise Iagos duplicitous nature and demonstrate how by seeking other Gods, he intends to find a way to achieve his wants.
