Act 1 Flashcards
Lights up
Elsewhere there was a small stone cottage deep in the forest
And in this small cottage lived a small family- a mother, a father, and their daughter.
This daughter was very beautiful, with curly locks and cheeks as red as roses.
She wore it everywhere she went, even though she doesn’t ride a horse or own one.
And because of the redness of her cloak in the redness of her cheeks her parents felt there was only one name that fit her best – little red riding hood.
Really? Little red riding hood?
Yeah what did you expect?
Idk something normal like Susie or bill…
Bills a boys name
Well it’s better than Little red riding hood can you imagine getting your drivers license and telling them that your legal name is little red riding hood did she not have an actual name?
First of all, she’s just a kid living deep in the woods I don’t think a drivers license is a top priority. Secondly we are getting way off track can you please proceed?
Fine, so here we have little red riding hood and her parents – you know, the same parents who decided to name their daughter after a piece of clothing.
(Visibly annoyed) are you quite finished? Anyway… These parents are like any others. There’s a father who has all the answers.
Go ask your mother
And a mother who is as understanding as she is kind
No.
(looks to narrator two and shrugs) anyway… One sunny morning, little Red riding Hood‘s mother and father asked her to go on a very important journey.
Which Dell – –?
And so little red riding hood journeyed off into the forest. But alone and without an adult to guide her she begin to grow fearful and worried
She wrapped her arms around herself as she wondered if she would ever be able to find a baker
See, this is where her riding hood comes in handy. It’s cold in those woods!
She even considered going back to her house and abandoning her journey but then that wouldn’t be much of a journey now would it?
Just then, she remembered that her parents have given her a giant map of the forest for her birthday!
Really? A map? That’s not a very fun present.
Luckily she excelled at map reading and quickly located the bakery
Oh, there it is!
And there’s grandmothers house!
The day was saved!( to narrator two) Not such a Bad gift after all huh?
But caring around the map is so primitive! It’s big and bulky, and not nearly as convenient as Siri. Her parents should’ve gotten her a iPhone. Poor girl. So little red riding hood began walking confidently in The right direction.
Until finally, she came apon a small cottage in the back woods, and knock gently and it’s front door
