Act 1 Flashcards
Trevor: “Good evening Ladies and Gentle-“
You said it was fine
Chris: “Leave it just leave it”
You need it
Robert: “Florence you don’t look yourself this evening”
Thomas I’m frightened
Chris: “isn’t it obvious Cecil has lost control”
Oh no not Cecil
Chris: “He killed Charles tonight, driven mad by his lust for you and now he knows we’ve found him out.”
I cannot bear it. Cecil would not do such a thing
Dennis “Well this is a fine mess. The worst night I’ve seen in 80-8 years of service.”
Save me brother. Oooh save me brother
Robert: “Don’t worry Florence. I shan’t let anyone hurt a hair on your head.”
I’m panicking. I can’t believe Cecil
Chris “Cecil!”
Cecil is doing this
Dennis: “Try to relax Miss Colleymore.”
I shall faint
Dennis: “Good heavens!”
Ay me
Dennis/Robert: “No! NO! Good heavens!” Cecil dies on couch
Cecil dead?
Chris: “Time of death: quarter to mid- 5 oclcok.”
Cecil! No. No. No. I loved him. I loved him. I know it was wrong. I know I was engaged to Charles. But Cecil was mine and. I was his.
Dennis: “There there miss colleymore.”
How will I go on? Sobs.
Chris: “But two murders on the same evening is certainly unusual.”
Oh inspector. My fiance and my love killed on the same eve.
Chris: “remember your breathing miss colleymore, now is not the time for another one of your episodes.”
I am having an episode, inspector. I cannot help it.
Dennis: “She’s having another one of her hysterical episodes.
They’re dead. They’re gone and they’re never coming back.
Robert: “I will not tolerate another tantrum Florence.”
Get away from me brother, you don’t understand my grief.
Robert: “that’s enough take another one of your pills.”
No. No more pills. Ooh they’re mints!
Chris: “and we will need to answer quickly if we are to get out of this alive. “
Oh inspector you’ve given me a chill
Chris: “Now tell me, is there anyone else that you know of in the grounds other than the four of us?”
Not a soul
Chris: “Does anyone have access to the grounds?”
No one inspector
Chris: “Good heavens you’re right. It’s one of us.”
This is a disaster. Blackout. Intermission. Oh!
